Women's Hockey Matters

Retrieved from an article on  thehockeywriters.com       Over 3.5 million Americans watched Canada defeating the United States 3-2 to win women's hockey gold medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics.  This is more viewers than any National Hockey League game televised in the U.S. this season. My Two Favourite Websites

    One website I like is Light and Love Home , a global Christian charity organization that cares for the poor in underdeveloped countries.  Its services include building orphanages and schools, education sponsorships, and programs to provide sustainable family income.        .    The website's homepage begins with a frozen pane that shows the organization's logo, a main menu with drop-down options with a mouse hover, and a "Donate" button.  Below it is a photo of a family's home with the organization's tagline.  It goes on to display the most recent fundraising program, followed by its services, with each a brief description of each service accompanied by a "Learn more" link and a related photo.  Below it are testimonies of beneficiaries and ways to get involved.       Many pages of this website contain photos and short paragraphs.  The vast amount of white spaces makes the website easy to read....

Douglas College vs. Langara College

      Every  college or university's website is created uniquely to attract both perspective and current students.  Such a website informs current students about campus services and the school's news and events.  It also introduces perspective students to the school with virtual campus tours and online information session bookings reasons.  These features give them reasons beyond program curriculums or tuition cost to choose one school over another.
